Every year, the Foundation awards four $5000 Scholarships to attend the World Credit Union Conference. Named in honor of a retired Arizona League President, the Gary Plank Scholarship Program is a tremendous opportunity for Credit Union leaders to acquire valuable information, network with Credit Union professionals from all over the world, and get inspired by the passion and enthusiasm for the worldwide Credit Union Movement.
Three of the scholarships are awarded to young credit union professionals under the age of 35, with the fourth going to a deserving Development Educator. All four scholarship recipients were selected based on their overall contribution to their Credit Unions and their communities. Additionally, these four individuals have all demonstrated a personal commitment to the Credit Union cooperative model and a remarkable potential for further influence within the Credit Union Movement.
This year’s World Credit Union Conference will be held in Vienna, Austria in late July. Congratulations to the 2017 Gary Plank Scholars!
Karen Nadal, Branch Manager at Pyramid Federal Credit Union, is this year’s Development Educator Scholarship recipient.
