If trading a day at the office for a long game of golf on a beautiful summer day sounds like a little slice of heaven, I’ve got some great news for you. The Denver Area Chapter of Credit Unions golf tournament is on Wednesday, August 3rd, and you are invited to join us!
Not only is this your chance to spend a Wednesday swinging a golf club instead of staring at a computer screen – it’s an opportunity to support the work of the Mountain West Credit Union Foundation.
The Mountain West Credit Union Foundation exists to promote leadership development and long-term success of credit unions in their communities. It accomplishes this through a variety of leadership initiatives. This year’s tournament will raise funds for scholarships and grants that support the development of our Credit Union leaders. Funds raised will go directly to programs that help our movement thrive and lead through economic hardships and changes, such as the Credit Union Leadership Institute, the Chief Executive Institute, Executive Leadership Program and a variety of other scholarships and grants that support our credit unions and the people in our communities. In addition, your registration will fund ground-breaking leadership research focused on acquiring a deeper understanding of what makes a high-performing credit union leader.
Over the years, programs such as these have been extremely effectivein developing many of our most successful Credit Union leaders. So you’ll be supporting a great cause by playing 18 holes. Sounds like a win-win to me. Here are the details…
